Note: RFMH has a new base of Modified Total Direct Costs (MTDC). The rate is applied to total direct costs excluding capital expenditures and that portion of each subaward in excess of $25,000.

Non-Federal Rate

Applied to research that is not sponsored by the federal government, examples include clinical trials, industry and other privately sponsored research.

32.5% of total direct costs - applicable to all locations

Indirect Cost Waivers

Any deviation from these approved F&A rates requires approval of the RFMH Board of Directors. A Request for Waiver and/or Reduction of Indirect Costs form must be filled out, signed and submitted to the RFMH. This form must be completed even if the sponsor has a written policy that they will not pay indirect costs.
