Access to the CITI Program

IBR, OASAS, RFMH, OMH Central Office and OMH Facilities
(not NKI or NYSPI)

Procedures for Accessing CITI Training

New Users

   

1.

Go to the CITI website

    2. Select New Users Register Here

    3. Complete Registration Steps 1 – 4:

1. Participating Institutions: Scroll down the drop down list and find
    RFMH/NYS  DMH
2.  Select your Username and Password
3.  Enter your name
4.  Enter your email address

Click on Submit

    4.

Complete the CITI RFMH/NYS DMH Information Page

Be sure to complete all the required fields.

Please note: the facility name Central Office includes the OMH Central Office IRB, RFMH Central Office employees, RFMH officials and their designees, OMH Director of Research and designee.

Click on Submit


    5. Select Curriculum: RFMH/NYS DMH

PLEASE READ EACH QUESTION CAREFULLY


HUMAN SUBJECTS COURSE:  FIRST TIME LEARNERS
Go to question 1, select group appropriate for your research activities and click on Submit

 

     

IACUC Members and Animal Researchers:   FIRST TIME LEARNERS:
Go to question 3, select course appropriate for your research activities and click on Submit

 

     

GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICES COURSE (supplemental human subjects training):
This GCP course is an education supplement. Choose only if you want to take this course to enhance your education or if you have been specifically instructed to complete. Go to question 4, choose YES, and click on Submit

 

    6.

Add another institution or affiliation:

Choose YES if you would like to include CITI training requirements for another institution. 

Choose NO to continue.


    7.

Main Menu:

Go to My Courses and Click on ENTER


    8.

Grade Book:

Follow the instructions and complete the course.


    9.

You do not have to complete the entire course all at once: the program
automatically saves all completed modules.  You can log-in and complete the course in multiple sessions.

Once you have completed all the required modules for your learner group, CITI
will provide you with a certificate of completion for scores of 90% or better.

Notification will be automatically sent to Lynne Wechsler at RFMH.  The report will be forwarded to your IRB, if applicable.

5 required biomedical modules

 

8 other modules of your choice

 
   

Institutional Officials including Facility Directors:

Introduction

 

4 required biomedical modules
